First, I hope you took a look at her pedigree....WOW. If she doesn't scream sport horse we don't know what does. So many of the OTTB's we have rehomed with even just one or two of these prominent sire's have all gone on to be super stars in the competitive world. "Princess" is going to really knock our socks off someday when she grows up!
Princess ran once in November 2015 and was last. She retired sound (and has been sound), as a routine exam by her veterinarian discovered sesamoiditis in her hind ankle. The owners wanted to allow her a chance at another job doing something else and retired her from racing. She has a great prognosis and has been cleared to have a career doing just about anything (except racing, upper level eventing, intense type careers) once she finishes her lay-up time. She has been on layup at our vet's farm and just started back on turnout. She needs to continue her R & R through winter and can start back into light work in the spring/summer. She is young, healthy, and has not had much of a career so far which is great for her new owner. As long as she continues her rehab properly she can go on to have a long, happy life as somebody's weekend warrior, show horse super star, pleasure horse, you name it. With her pedigree we know she has to have some serious talent in there. She could be a really nice hunter/jumper, dressage, or lower-mid level eventing horse! Princess should go to someone who has patience to allow her to finish her time off just being turned out, and slowly getting back to work. She is turning 3 in March so she has plenty of time ahead of her for training. It is a great time for some ground work, grooming/bonding, and desensitizing...all things you can do with your horses during layup.

Important Note About Meeting / Trying PARR Horses
PARR horses are not in active programs, they are waiting for their new homes to start their new jobs. They are often ridden once for a video and hanging out in field, stall at track, or being turned out at a foster farm the remainder of days while they wait to be adopted. Therefore, we do not allow PARR horses to be tried(ridden) for the best interest of the horse and liability risks for the owners, connections, trainers, etc. If a horse is new off the track, we may only adopt to an experienced rider, or capable rider working with a trainer. They will need to return to a program typical of a horse that is either just off the track or getting back into shape, from the ground up with your training methods. Most live at private farms that do not have arenas/riding areas. If we are able to haul a horse over to an indoor ring for an under saddle video we will, but that is dependent on the horse, schedule of foster home, and availability of a facility with an arena or place to ride. Shipping into a farm costs ring fees and sometimes expecting to pull a horse out of a field, haul them to a new place, hop on and expect them to knock our socks off is a lot to ask of a horse....but some of them do just that and those are the ones that sell fast, especially to those looking for great show-prospects for themselves or to bring along and sell down the road as an investment project. We can set up
appointments for you to meet the horses, see them move freely (or jog in hand), and vettings are welcome.
