Starting sometime in 2017, all PARR owned horses will be freeze-branded with the PARR brand, and micro-chipped,
to help us continue to follow them throughout their adoptive lives, and enable quick identification should a
PARR horse change hands without our authority in the future.
Our Adoption Policies can be viewed below in our Adoption Contract. Please read prior to adoption.

Important Note Regarding Broodmares & Colts
We do not adopt out any horses (or any other animals) to be used in any form of breeding, as broodmares, stallions, tease mares, nurse mares, etc. We stand behind finding these horses homes as pets, companions, athletes and show horses. While we respect some reputable breeding programs, we can not support or encourage it and still uphold our bylaws and our mission to make an impact on the equine community and all other animals. You will be required to sign an adoption agreement and understand that breeding is not an option for our adopted PARR horses.
PARR MISSION STATEMENT
PA Racehorse Rehoming, Rehabilitation & Rescue (PARR) is a 501(c)3 non-profit equine welfare organization that takes in, cares for, rehabilitates, retrains and rehomes Thoroughbred horses who have previously raced or been in training to race (occasionally other breeds and non-racing horses as well). We also work to educate the community about ex-racehorse (OTTB) abilities, talents and inherent value, thus helping unwanted horses and those no longer able to perform up to the standards of their previous connections, to find permanent loving homes. PARR also maintains a lifetime sanctuary for unadoptable or permanently high maintenance/special needs horses.
